Father's Day

Well Father's Day is not nearly as hard for me as Mother's Day, but there is still a "sting" to it. I think mainly because of Father's Day 2005. I found out I was pregnant on June 15, 2005, and I used a Father's Day card as my way of telling Paul I was pregnant (handed it to him at work in the middle of the day along with one of his favorite candy bars). Also, I remember tears of joy streaming down my face a few days later on Father's Day at church as I sat in the choir loft and looked out at Paul and realized he was finally going to be a father. It's hard to believe 2 years have passed. In some ways it feels like it was just yesterday. I know not to assure myself that he will be a father by Father's Day next year, but it's certainly something I hope and pray will be true.
