This was one of the reasons I wanted to start her on solid foods; people had told me that their babies started sleeping through the night when they started giving them rice cereal. I haven't given Nadia any rice cereal for a few days now. I have given her a taste of banana now and then, and she definitely likes bananas. So maybe whenever I try the rice cereal again she'll have an easier time with her tongue as hopefully she's starting to learn how to use her tongue to eat solid foods. This morning she rolled over from her tummy to her back, so I've now seen her roll unassisted in both directions. Good job, Nadia! My mom was interested in seeing the rattle shaking video. She's not smiling or cooing so I don't think it's nearly as nice as the other ones, but it does show her new ability to hold a rattle.
We started trying to have children in May 2002. After pursuing fertility treatments, domestic, and international adoption, our daughter Nadia Renee was born on 6-24-08 (at 36w4d). IVF #2 resulted in Ian Alexander, who was born on 12-12-09 (at 34w3d). Oliver Elliot (IVF #3) was born on 8-7-12 (at 31w6d)! Three other pregnancies (in 2005, 2007, and 2013) ended in miscarriage. Our family is complete! We are so thankful for our three miracles!

The chicken dish sounds good. Actually I have a similar recipe called Chicken Dijon which has dijon mustard and sour cream in it.
I don't buy into the rice cereal making a baby sleep through the night. I tried it a couple of times with Brianne and it did not work. I finally did stop changing her diaper during the night except when she pooped. I did not make it fun for her. I kept it dark and fed and then right back to bed.
She's got to learn how to put herself to sleep when she wakes up in the night. If you go get her every time she cries (especially when you know she shouldn't be hungry) she will never learn this. I know many people hate it, but this is where babywise was my life saver. I didn't have a clue, and it gave me confidence and pointers on these issues. I hope for your sake Nadia starts sleeping through the night! I know sleep makes everything better! Hugs.
