We started trying to have children in May 2002. After pursuing fertility treatments, domestic, and international adoption, our daughter Nadia Renee was born on 6-24-08 (at 36w4d). IVF #2 resulted in Ian Alexander, who was born on 12-12-09 (at 34w3d). Oliver Elliot (IVF #3) was born on 8-7-12 (at 31w6d)! Three other pregnancies (in 2005, 2007, and 2013) ended in miscarriage. Our family is complete! We are so thankful for our three miracles!

Pulled her first tooth!
Nadia has had too very wiggly teeth for quite awhile, and after we went ice skating yesterday afternoon, she pulled her first tooth out. She is SO proud of the fact she is missing a tooth! Her other tooth is equally wiggly, but she hasn't pulled it out yet. I thought she'd pull the second one out today. She was so excited when she brought down $1 this morning from under her pillow, but I told her to go back and check because I thought there was more under her pillow. I had put five one dollar bills under there. I don't plan on giving her that much for each tooth, but I thought it would be nice to give a bigger amount for the very first tooth. We lost the tooth at one point, but thankfully it was found in the carpet so we can save it for her. I still have my first few baby teeth in little envelopes, ha ha! The big tooth is ready to come in so she's not going to have a gap there for very long at all. My little girl is growing up.
Originally we had planned to leave my parents' house after church and lunch on Sunday afternoon and stop at Paul's Aunt Debbie's Christmas party in Harrisburg on the way home. In light of my sister's family arrive in the US this afternoon, we have changed our plans. Paul will still be leaving around 1pm tomorrow, but he'll be going back in my mom's car and leaving the kids and I (with our minivan) here in MD. Wendy and her family left this afternoon to spend four days with her in-laws in Williamsburg. They plan to return on Wednesday, and Paul plans to return on Thursday. This will give us about two days where all 22 of us will be together under the same roof. We'll of course be trying to get a group picture because the one we took last doesn't include Ian, Oliver, Joel, Grace, or Julianna as it was taken 4.5 years ago when I was pregnant with Ian. We thought we'd be down here for four days, but it looks like the kids and I will actually be down here for nine or ten days. Thankfully we can do laundry here at my mom's house, and Wendy bought me a few more diapers for Oliver when she was out shopping yesterday. I enjoy watching my kids play with their cousins!
