Oliver had his 3 year well child visit today. I always find these to be a waste of time, but I keep taking the kids anyhow. I never feel like anything is accomplished when they don't need any immunizations (which he won't until he turns five). He wasn't able to do the vision or hearing screening as he just didn't understand what the nurse wanted him to do. This morning with his clothes on he weighed 31 lbs, which puts him at the 40th percentile, and his height is 37.5 inches, which puts him at the 50th percentile, and that height and weight combination puts him at the 33 percentile for BMI. When Ian turned three he weighed 32.75lbs (61st percentile). Nadia weighed 36 pounds (80th percentile). Ian and Nadia were both 36 inches tall at their 3 year appointments, which put Ian at the 17th percentile and Nadia at the 26th percentile. Maybe the youngest will end up being the tallest eventually? Nadia's BMI was by far the highest of the three kids.
Over the last week Oliver has had major regression with the frequency of accidents. I'm hoping he'll get back on track as soon as possible. He didn't wake up dry either night at Grandma's house. He did wake up dry this morning, but he peed on his bedroom carpet once yesterday evening and pooped in his pants once today. It caught me off guard because he had been doing so well the past few months.
I am hoping that over the next year Oliver can stay out of the hospital. We'll probably have his umbilical hernia repaired when he is five years old.
Oliver definitely had a great time at his grandparents' house this weekend. Pop Pop had taken him up to his Sunday School classroom, and he was disappointed when I was the one who came to pick him up at the end. I thought he'd be happy to see me, as he hadn't seen me in 43 hours, but the first words out of his mouth were "Where's Pop Pop?". He was able to say goodbye to Pop Pop and Grandma after I brought him downstairs (the children's classrooms are upstairs).
