I completely forgot about doing Ian's sixth birthday interview until yesterday. I guess ten days late isn't so bad. Better late than never! I have not been in the mood to take pictures lately (except for a few with my cell phone) so I am glad I at least remembered to do this. While I am focusing on Ian, I wanted to mention that I forgot to include in yesterday's thankful post that last Tuesday (Dec 15) Ian made multiple baskets (he estimated at least five) during his basketball practice. Wow! I was amazed because Nadia didn't make any her first season. We shall see if he makes any during his games (January - March). Yesterday Ian and I finished his second large Lego project, which means it took us only ten days to complete two big sets (at least 1,900 pieces total between the two sets). Putting Legos together is definitely not my thing, but I know it means a lot to Ian so I do it because I love him. I figured we should assemble these before Christmas, as I am sure others will be giving him more Legos for Christmas (we're not giving him any at Christmas aside from some minifigures). I am not sure if he's going to get the set he wants the most (the one he keeps telling the Santas he wants), but I'm sure he'll love what ever Legos he is given. Now for me to figure out what to do with more than 2,000 additional Legos above and beyond all that we already owned. I will say though that he continues to spend hours every day playing with them. They are definitely the toy he uses the most.
