Home Sweet Home

Cocoa loves to lick; in this photo he's licking Nadia's face.
We all attended the basketball awards program on Saturday night, and Nadia attended the youth group at that same church on Sunday night. When she was there, she was told that they were still going to hold the middle school social at the youth pastor's home this Friday night (March 20). Nadia wanted us to attend that church last Sunday morning, but we opted to watch our church's service online. Last Friday we received an email from our church that said the middle school would still be meeting this Wednesday night. Because the CDC's guidelines quickly went from 250 to 50 to 10 people, both churches have now cancelled everything for the time being. Nadia was *very* disappointed. Watching an online service is the only option for this coming Sunday. One positive is that we will be spending less on gas for the van this month. Our lives have been disrupted less than most since we have been homeschooling for years. Who knew that in 2020 just about everyone would be homeschooled for a few weeks (or months)? At this point we assume we won't be going anywhere until April 1 at the earliest. I feel 99% certain that our trip to Chicago will be cancelled. Right now I just hope that life will return to normal within two months so we can still go to Maryland/DC in the middle of May as planned. I'm very thankful that our family vacations were scheduled for the end of August and early October. I would really, really hope that life will return to normal by then!

1. I LOVE Nadia's hair!!
2. Crazy how this virus was a non-issue just a couple weeks ago, and now it's defining our whole lives. Praising God that we can find refuge in Him!
3. That is the cutest picture of Cocoa and Nadia!
4.Thank you for continuing to blog. :)
