19 inches!!!

Paul really doubted that we'd get more than eight inches of snow, but for once what we got was closer to the upper end of the forecasted range than the lower end as they said 8-21 inches, and we received 18-19 inches of snow! I believe this is the most we've gotten in one single snowfall over the 12 years we've lived in this home. I remember they got more snow than that in Maryland in 2016 because I made a lot of trips to Maryland that winter when my mom was battling ovarian cancer. Milo, who turned 11 weeks old today, is not a fan of cold weather or the snow. To be honest, neither am I. I would love to live in a state farther south such as North Carolina. Nadia and I did some shoveling before we ate breakfast, and Paul and I did more shoveling after breakfast. Nadia wasn't too happy that Milo got her up at 6:00 this morning. I think she's going to try to keep him up later tonight in the hopes that he'll sleep in closer to 7:00 tomorrow morning. In light of the snow, I altered the lesson plans. So far today the kids finished an art project they'd worked on the past three days, watched today's episode of World Watch News, memorized one verse, and we read and discussed Ruth chapters 3-4. I want the boys to do some math at some point today. Even though Paul was home, we couldn't all watch a movie together last night because Nadia was on Zoom with church from 4:30-6:00 and 6:30-8:00. We're planning to watch the second Night at the Museum movie tonight that I got on DVD from the library on Tuesday. Since we finished the biography on Klaus-Dieter John last night, we started I Dared to Call Him Father today. The kids have spent the vast majority of the day outside in the snow playing with kids in the neighborhood.
