1. If Oliver had to get more sutures on his face, I'm glad they were on his eyebrow, as the scar won't be visible. His new PCP took out the sutures yesterday morning. If he does get sutures again, I'm going to take them out myself. It was just three snips and pulling them out. I could have done the same thing and saved us $50. I'm thankful though we didn't drive back to the urgent care center to have them removed as the PCP is much closer to our home.
2. We went to church on Sunday which hadn't been true the previous two Sundays because of an ice storm and then Paul having COVID. The kids and I all were at church again last night.
3. Nadia was able to attend the drama class two weeks in a row at co-op. We still don't know what production they're doing in May.
4. My friend, Cheri, turned 65 on Tuesday, and I'm treating her to dinner this evening! Paul is coming to from work to the ice-skating rink while the kids are having their lessons so that I can go out to dinner with my friend. I'm really looking forward to it!
5. We are past the half-way mark in every area of our curriculum for this school year. Nadia will have drama practices for 6+ hours a day the week of May 9-13 at co-op, but I think we will wrap up the rest of our subjects by May 3.
6. Some audiobooks we listen to are not exactly loved by every member of our family. For example, Nadia isn't a fan of Gulliver's Travels which we are about half-way through. Thankfully most of the time we all enjoy the books we listen to. This week we finished Glitch by Laura Martin, and everyone loved that one.
7. The kids enjoyed playing games with Pop Pop and having lunch with him at Bonanza on Monday.
8. I joined the Wordle craze about a week ago. Since you only do one puzzle a day it's not a time-consuming past-time. Nadia started a few days after me. I enjoy word games so it's right up my alley!
