Miss Popularity

Last night Nadia went down at 7:30, and I went down at 8:30. She slept 4 hours then was up for 2 hours then slept 2 hours then was up 30 minutes then slept 2 hours. Altogether over 11 1/2 hours I'd say she slept 8 hours. So it was a good night aside from her being up from 11:30-1:45am. This morning she took a nice nap in her crib so that was also good. She's still congested; today is day #17.


One thing I forgot to mention yesterday was how VERY popular Nadia was. Wow! I think that is the closest I ever felt to experiencing what movie stars/athletes/rock stars etc experience. If Nadia was out of the sling a student would say something like "look at that little baby" and then I'd have literally a MOB of students around me admiring Nadia. At the picnic when I went up to the microphone to introduce myself, I took her with me and introduced her as well. At the faculty meeting the Provost was there and he asked if she was our newest faculty member. Nadia had many admirers yesterday, and I let of my colleauges hold her at various points in the day as well as Ashley who will be her babysitter next week. I expected Nadia to be a magnet at church since so many had prayed for her for so long, but I admit I wasn't expecting her to be such a magnet with the college students!
