Last night was another rough night. I could not let her cry it out with a fever, especially when she was calling out "Mommy." She went down easily at 7pm, but then woke up at 10:30pm. Thankfully I had gone to bed at 8:30pm so I had gotten 2 hours of sleep before she woke up. It took 2 hours before I was able to get her to go to sleep without crying. Thankfully she then slept from 12:40-6:15am. Every time I took her temperature it was between 100-101 degrees. We kept giving her either Motrin or Tylenol. As soon as the doctor's office opened at 8:00am, I called and scheduled an appt for 9:15am. The only bad part of that was she actually was taking a nice morning nap, and I had to wake her up to take her to the doctor.
They had entered her weight incorrectly the last time (25 lb instead of 21) so a big "WARNING" came across the computer when they entered 22lbs today (saying she had lost 17% of her body weight). I assured the nurse she had not lost 3 lbs, but rather the nurse the last time entered the wrong number. Unfortunately they can't change that entry. She didn't have a fever when they took her temp, but she was under the influence of Tylenol at the time. The doctor said she has an ear infection in her left ear and prescribed an antibiotic. Hopefully in the next day or two she'll start feeling better. I would love to be able to sleep through the night!I have enjoyed lots of time snuggling with her during the day. Normally she likes to cuddle many times a day but for very short periods of time. Today she would sit in my lap for very long periods of time.
Tonight was my last class for the summer. YAY! I've finished grading all the papers/exams for the M/W class, but I still have grading to do for the T/Th class and the independent studies. I am looking forward to staying away from campus the next 3 weeks.These photos were taken yesterday by Paul's mom while they were watching Nadia. Paul watched her on Monday, and the neighbors watched her on Tuesday and Thursday. As you can see, no one is too old to enjoy swinging on a swingset! :-)

The antibiotics work to alleviate the pain pretty quickly, so hopefully you'll be catching up on rest very soon! The *only* time my kid deigns to cuddle with me is when he's not feeling very good, so I always greet his colds with mixed emotions.
