I was walking through the park...

When I was a child my dad used to sing a portion of a song to us while we were on the swings. He sang, "I was walking through the park one day, in the very merry month of May, when what to my surprise but a pair of Irish eyes, I was walking through the park one day." As he sang, he purposefully walked close enough that our feet would hit him as we were swinging, and this would cause us to laugh hysterically. I have continued that tradition with my kids, and let me tell you, it is just as hysterical to them as it was to me and my sisters, particularly when I point my finger at them and "scold" them for kicking their mother. Priceless. Oliver will enjoy it too some day I am sure, and maybe I'll get to play this little game with my grandchildren some day.
