We started trying to have children in May 2002. After pursuing fertility treatments, domestic, and international adoption, our daughter Nadia Renee was born on 6-24-08 (at 36w4d). IVF #2 resulted in Ian Alexander, who was born on 12-12-09 (at 34w3d). Oliver Elliot (IVF #3) was born on 8-7-12 (at 31w6d)! Three other pregnancies (in 2005, 2007, and 2013) ended in miscarriage. Our family is complete! We are so thankful for our three miracles!

NO Accidents!!!
Aside from during her nap (and I put a pull-up over her underwear before I put her down for her nap), Nadia didn't have ANY accidents today! She peed and pooped in her potty! It seems that the promise of chocolate worked today (Hershey kisses). The last time she peed she sat down on the potty and then said "good girl." It took me a little while to figure out what happened (because the toilet didn't make music like it's supposed to), but sure enough she had peed in the potty! She forgot to pull down her underwear, but hey we can work on that. It's much easier to throw those in the washing machine compared to cleaning up a mess on the floor. The day was going so well that I even took her on a quick shopping trip. I gave her one kiss when we got home as a reward for staying dry in the car and the grocery store. Whew... I am sure we will continue to have ups and downs, but I think she will be trained in the near future. Yahoo for progress!!
Friday night I discovered Nadia loves pierogies, and tonight she ate almost an entire ear of corn. I gave Ian a few more bites tonight to keep working on his ability to swallow food. As to be expected, it's all being "ejected."
He sleeps on average 10 hours a day. Babies this young are supposed to sleep a lot more than that! Nadia sleeps 12-14 hours a day (10-12 at night and 1.5-3.0 during her nap). Ian usually gets 8 hours at night as well as four 30 minute naps. The only time his naps are longer than that is when he's held such as today the nap he took in the Snugli while I mowed was almost an hour long. Hopefully he'll start getting more sleep in the near future. I don't think he's ever going to have a 6pm bedtime like Nadia did for awhile. We start trying to get him down around 7pm, but it's often 8pm or later before he actually goes to sleep for the night. I'm hoping at some point he'll sleep from about 7pm to 7am. Nadia slept 12 hours a night for quite awhile. She was about his age when she started sleeping 12 hours straight. I'd just be thrilled at this point if he slept 10 hours total (with a feeding in there somewhere).
