Progress!!!

Ian is making great progress with sleeping at night! I put him down around 8:15, and I thought 4:00 was the first time he woke up, but Paul told me that Ian cried for 8 minutes around 10pm. I am so glad that CIO has only meant 5-15 minutes for Ian. Nadia cried a LOT longer than that. I went to bed at 8:45 so that was a wonderful stretch for me also. I nursed him until 4:30, and then he slept until 6:15! He slept 9.5 hours total, which is a big improvement!

Nadia is making a lot of progress with her attention span for reading and potty training. Her favorite book at the moment is what she calls the "cookie book" (If You Give a Mouse a Cookie). I love how she wants me to read books to her again and again and again (although I prefer to read a variety of books rather than the same one over and over). As for potty training, she woke up dry the past two days, and she's usually in her crib at night for 10-12 hours! Maybe she'll be totally out of diapers by her 2nd birthday (even at night)? Yesterday she peed in her potty twice for me in the morning, once for Beth in the afternoon, and then she didn't quite make it in time for Paul  last night, but she did run to the potty so part of it went in her potty, but Paul had a mess to clean up as she left a trail on the floor. Unfortunately she pooped during her nap. It's ironic to me as the first week of potty training she pooped in the potty every day but had a lot of #1 accidents. Now it's been a couple of weeks since she's pooped in the potty. Go figure. I hope she gets back on track with that soon as it was nice not having to clean that up. She peed twice in the potty this morning. I feel very encouraged!

I've also been making progress on my to do list, which is a great feeling. I love crossing things off! Yesterday I got to cross off "book cruise." YAY! It seems more real now even though it's 7 months away. I made reservations for an inside cabin for the four of us right across from a balcony cabin for Paul's parents. None of us have ever been on a cruise before, but I think we're going to have a wonderful time in the Western Caribbean in January! I also called two more electricians, and one is supposed to come today to give an estimate. I'm hoping this project can be completed by the end of the month as we bought the light fixtures and ceiling fan the end of August. I didn't think it would take 10 months to accomplish!

Now if whomever found the DVD I dropped in the parking lot last Friday would just return it to a Blockbuster Express kiosk, that would really make my day. It didn't cross my mind at first that maybe whomever found it might just decide to keep it. Oh well. Losing $25 really isn't a big deal (what it will cost if it's never returned). I shouldn't let it bug me so much!
