1. Nadia did sleep through the night last night. YAY! She woke up and started coughing around 5:30am, but she didn't call for us or cry and went back to sleep. I had put her to bed much earlier than usual (6:50), but she actually got up later than usual. She was in bed for 13 hours! I hope that sleep will help her get rid of this cold she's been fighting for 2 weeks.
2. Last Tuesday someone from Early Intervention came over to start the process with Ian. The evaluation is the next step. They'd do that next week except we'll be away. It's been scheduled for Jan 18th. She said even if he doesn't technically qualify (which I don't think he will as I don't think he's at least 25% delayed), they can still get him help for medical reasons (eating). He's also going to be seen by the feeding team at the hospital this Friday morning.
3. Today was Paul's 41st birthday. We went on a date to Red Lobster (his favorite) to celebrate. He hasn't felt well today; it won't go down as his favorite birthday that is for sure.
4. Tomorrow we're leaving at 4:30am to drive to Philadelphia. I had schedule Ian's appointment for the afternoon, but last week they called to reschedule it to 8:00am. Hopefully the kids will sleep most of the way there. I figured it wouldn't be good for the kids to get right back in the car after the appointment is over (since it's a 3 hour drive one way); so we're planning to be at the zoo from 9:30-12:00 and then head back home. I purchased a family membership since if you go even twice in a year it's cheaper to have the membership; plus it includes a lot of reciprocal agreements such as the Baltimore zoo and the zoo in DC, which we could definitely visit while we're at my parent's house. Prayers that we have a safe trip tomorrow and that Ian doesn't cry or sleep too much would be appreciated! I assume Nadia will be fine as long as we bring 321 Penguin and VeggieTale dvd's.
5. I have to keep a food log this week in preparation for our feeding team appointment on Friday, and Ian only had 24 ounces of whole milk today so he's not as far off the mark as I thought. The pediatrician had said 15-20 ounces a day, and the days I've kept track he's had 24-30 ounces. I'm not going to keep the log tomorrow in light of our trip, but I'll keep it again on Wednesday and Thursday. They asked me to keep a log for 2-3 days.
