Last night I dropped both Ian and Nadia off for the musical rehearsal on my way to my last choir rehearsal. I had worked with both children on the Bible verse that was due last night. They both recited their verses. It was the first time Ian learned a Bible verse. He really enjoyed the evening, and just like his sister was quick to tell me about the snack. We were listening to the CD in the van today, and I was surprised that Nadia already had learned a few of the songs. He has a really nice voice, but my prediction is that he'll have some "stage fright" and sing very quietly during the actual performances as he's more fearful than his big sister, and he is only three years old! I'm glad they are both enjoying this summer program. Pretty soon it will be time for Ian's first experience in VBS, and he'll be learning verses every week for Cubbies starting in September.
Oliver woke up with a fever and a runny nose. My poor baby seems to come down with this very regularly. We stayed home this morning, but this afternoon we were out and about as Nadia had her dress rehearsal for her tap recital and then we went to Nadia's next to last soccer game. Boy was it hot out. Her team did manage to score one goal, but almost the whole game the ball was near the other team's goal. Paul's parents joined Ian, Oliver, and I in cheering for Nadia at the game.
