Thankful Thursday

1. I really like our new printer. It's the first time we've owned one that is wireless. It's so nice to be able to hit print on my laptop in the family room and out pops the paper from the printer in our bedroom upstairs. Hopefully this printer lasts a lot longer than our inkjet ones, and  I believe we will spend less money on ink also.

2. I am grateful for our elliptical. I decided this morning that I am going to start getting up a little earlier and do my workout first thing in the morning so that #1 I'll be more energetic when I'm doing my workout and #2 so I can wash the sweat off when I take my morning shower. Here's to getting myself in better shape physically!

3. Ready or not here the test comes. Can you tell the kids have been playing hide and seek lately? I enjoyed watching them play it with my Aunt Janet last week at her house. Anyhow, I am grateful that my test is tomorrow morning. I'm hoping and praying I'll pass it. I'm thankful it's tomorrow because I am very ready to be done studying for it. Enough is
enough. Let's just get it done! (well unless I don't pass and then I'll have to do more studying and fork over another $120 - prayers are appreciated on my behalf tomorrow morning!).

4. I really, really love the sandals I got at the neighbor's yard sale two weeks ago. They are SO comfortable!

5. I was trying to add up how much it would cost to take a two night trip to Niagara Falls in September. I assumed I'd have to renew Nadia and Ian's passports and get Oliver his very first one, and then in doing some research I discovered that if you go in by land (not airplane) that children under the age of 16 can go across the Canadian border with just a birth certificate as long as they are traveling with their parents. Yahoo! That saves us some money. I also decided to wait a few more months to go to the eye doctor and get myself a pair of eyeglasses that doesn't give me a splitting headache, and that money can go toward our trip to Niagara plus also give us enough money to go to Del Grosso's amusement park later
this month. I'm also switching my cell phone to a different company and that will save us money too. Where there's a will there's a way as the saying goes!

6. Our  neighbor across the street is going to carpool with me next week as far as taking our kids to Good News Camp! This means I'll drive there five times instead of ten. Some of the times when I'm driving I'm going to leave Oliver at her house so the two four year old boys can play together, and some of the times she's driving I'm going to take the boys swimming at our pool. Oliver had to sit in the car 50 minutes (round trip) two times a day last year. Not this year! I'm very grateful.

7. Although the kids have enjoyed these classes in Bloomsburg and the bounce place, I have to say next year I only want to do ONE week of daily trips to Bloomsburg. This was my second week this summer, and I'm pooped. The end is in sight! Although it made for a long day, it was convenient that the acting class was the same week as maker camp at the Children's Museum. The times of the classes also fit together nicely (10-1 for the one and 2-5 for the other).

8. My kids love VBS. Tonight they finished a VBS program. They'll start their last week of VBS (for 2017) on Sunday at the Alliance Church. When I walked in this evening, my eyes welled up with tears as the 100+ kids were belting out the hymn "Blessed Assurance." I wish I got goosebumps like my mom, but instead the tears just fall whether I want them to or not. It was so precious to me.
