I am very happy to report that Nadia has been taken off of the antibiotics as the b/w results which came back this morning showed she does not have an infection! PTL! She can come home once my milk comes in (colostrom now) and her bilirubin count comes down (it was higher today). They said yesterday what probably led to her bilirubin count going up was the bruising from the vacuum (those red blood cells) although it could also be from her liver not being 100% mature yet due to coming 3 1/2 weeks early. I thought I was done with ultrasounds, but the OB was concerned about my swelling (especially my thighs) so he wanted an ultrasound done of my legs today to make sure the veins are okay (no blood clots). The u/s came out fine. Hopefully Nadia will be discharged tomorrow or Monday. That would be AWESOME! My mom came up today to spend a week helping me out. Paul hasn't gotten a lick of work done on his thesis which is due in 3 weeks. I'll post more photos later, but here are at least two! The first was taken of me right before we left on Monday night - my last pgcy photo (water already broken and contractions already started) at 36w3d. still unconcious at this point from the general anesthesia).

Ruth, you've had quite an adventure to become a mother. Sometimes in the past you faced disappointment and grief and sadness...but now God has blessed you with this perfect baby. Nadia Renee...I just love that name!
