Learning and Growing

It's amazing how much babies grow and change in a matter of days much less weeks or months. For example, at Christmas my mom was noticing how long and curly Nadia's eyelashes are. When she was born, she didn't have any eyelashes or eyebrows so we've observed the whole process from square one. New skills I've noticed lately would be her increased ability to use her hands (as evidenced by the little ring stacking video I posted recently), sit on her own for extended periods of time (not that she still doesn't wobble over in one direction or another at times), and her new trick of the day is that she will stand up on her own without holding on to anything. My jaw dropped the first time she did that today. I was sitting on the floor (crossed legs), and she was sitting on my lap when she just stood up - totally on her own. Of course she only could remain standing without holding on to something for a couple of seconds, but still it amazed me. She's done that new trick a few times today.

In her pictures Nadia looks just like a Gerber baby! Such a doll!

She looks so excited to be sitting up and accomplishing these new activities.

Hoping 2009 continues to bring you so much joy!

I love reading about your excitement with Nadia and her accomplishments.

The budget cracked me up! I am not a record keeper by any means and couldn't tell you what I spent in groceries last week let alone 2004!

It would do the US economy a lot of good if all of the television news networks were out of comission for a month. Honestly, if you listen to the television, we are all on the verge of financial collapse. By the way, Nadias little chubby face has to be one of the cutest God has ever created. I bet you get a lot of enjoyment out of kissing them!

Sorry my post should say that you probably get a lot of enjoyment from kissing those cheeks.
