Crawling!

Well although she's been mobile for several weeks, it wasn't until yesterday that I felt I could say she is crawling - the "typical" crawl with arms fully extended. Yesterday was the first time I saw her travel forward many times throughout the day. She figured out she needed to lift her hands. :-) Paul hasn't seen it yet, but hopefully he will soon. I've already seen her crawling again today. I'll try to get a video of her crawling in the near future. She still LOVES to stand. I have decided until she gets out of this phase where it seems ALL she wants to do is stand, we are only going to have a couple of baths a week. Bathtime just isn't fun right now since she wants to stand up, and I won't let her stand in the tub.  Today I have a faculty meeting and also an appt with an advisee. Donna will be watching Nadia.

Ruthie... haha! when she is done with the phase of wanting to stand she will want to walk :-)
Jaco and Sofia started showing interest in standing as soon as they figured out how to sit... it was so tiring trying to support them all the time (2 of them!) and limit their crashes.
Oh, and by the way, when she will be done wanting to stand in the tub... she will want to jump in it... now, THAT is scary! but that phase will pass too...

In any case... congratulations on getting on the crawling phase!!! it is a truly exciting moment! Now... we'll hear how baby proofed your house really is... LOL!
