I get a break from shots. Yay! Today I get an entire break from needles. Tomorrow I won't have any shots, but I will have an IV. Hopefully they will have an easier time getting it in than they did 2 years ago when it took a few different people stabbing me multiple times before they succeeded. Not Fun. I think Thursday will be "needle free" as well. I believe the PIO shots will begin on Friday. At least they are only once a day (compared to twice a day with a FET). Those definitely hurt more as they are IM shots (much bigger needles than the ones I've had the last 3 weeks).
Either I misheard her, or the nurse misspoke, but my E2 was 1,936 on Saturday. I thought she said fourteen hundred. I was a little surprised when she said that as that would have been a very small jump from Thursday. Nineteen hundred makes more sense. My E2 hasn't been jumping as fast as 2 years ago when it used to double every two days, but I've been on a lower dose of Follistim. I think in part that's because Dr. A is in charge, and he's more conservative than Dr. G who was in charge in 2007. In the end though my E2 is almost identical. It was 3,224 after 10 days of stimming in 2007 and 3,198 after 10 days this time around. I hope that means they'll be able to retrieve a similar number of eggs. :-)
I actually stayed up until 11pm last night in light of the shot. I woke up rather tired and said I would take a nap during Nadia's first nap, but I ended up choosing to grade final exams during her first nap. Maybe I'll nap during her second nap. The Ovidrel was really nice. It's much easier than hCG - no mixing involved and it's a subq rather than an IM injection.
Regina is having her ER on Thursday. Please pray for her as well! They believe she has more than 20 mature follies which is amazing considering her last ivf cycle was cancelled (not good enough to even convert to iui).
