We started trying to have children in May 2002. After pursuing fertility treatments, domestic, and international adoption, our daughter Nadia Renee was born on 6-24-08 (at 36w4d). IVF #2 resulted in Ian Alexander, who was born on 12-12-09 (at 34w3d). Oliver Elliot (IVF #3) was born on 8-7-12 (at 31w6d)! Three other pregnancies (in 2005, 2007, and 2013) ended in miscarriage. Our family is complete! We are so thankful for our three miracles!

Twelve Embryos!!!
They wrote on my discharge instructions that they'd call "late morning" on 4/30. I was about to lose my mind by the time they called at 2:30pm. I had been carrying the phone around all day. Well we got GREAT news!! They actually decided that 13 of the 14 eggs were mature. They injected all 13. Guess what - all 13 fertilized!! Unbelievable!! Last time of the 18 injected only 7 fertilized. One of the 13 already stopped developing (only divided once). So we currently have 12 embryos. I was almost in tears yesterday when they said we "only" had 14 eggs. I thought it took 26 last time to have 7 embryos so I was scared we'd only have maybe 3 embryos this time. I never would have dreamed we'd have 12. The other surprising thing was that they are still leaning toward a 3 day transfer even though we have more than 10 (10 is usually their cut off). They said it was because only 1 of the 4 made it from day 3 to day 5 last time, but I said but that one was Nadia! Schedule wise a Saturday transfer is better for us in terms of bedrest for me, but otherwise I'd prefer a 5 day transfer. They said they'll reevaluate tomorrow after they see how the embryos are doing. I said if we still have 12 on Saturday wouldn't we wait until Monday? So anyhow I am praising the Lord that we have 12 little babies right now!!! Please pray for them to keep growing, and pray for the doctors to have wisdom regarding when to do the transfer. Thanks!!
