We started trying to have children in May 2002. After pursuing fertility treatments, domestic, and international adoption, our daughter Nadia Renee was born on 6-24-08 (at 36w4d). IVF #2 resulted in Ian Alexander, who was born on 12-12-09 (at 34w3d). Oliver Elliot (IVF #3) was born on 8-7-12 (at 31w6d)! Three other pregnancies (in 2005, 2007, and 2013) ended in miscarriage. Our family is complete! We are so thankful for our three miracles!

Contractions are back
Tuesday I started having rather painful contractions again. They weren't AS bad as the ones I had at 23 weeks which even hurt around my back, but still they haven't been very fun. I wasn't able to stand during class very much on Tuesday night. Yesterday I felt just plain awful between the contractions and that terrible 3 hour glucose test. I skipped choir rehearsal and went to bed early. I am feeling much better so far today. Hopefully the contractions will stay away. I didn't have painful contractions like this until 36 weeks with Nadia. I keep telling Ian that it's too early for him to be born! I'm hoping to make it until at least 38 weeks this time. Monday the doctor's office called me right around 8am to tell me that I had failed the test on Friday. I am hoping that since I haven't been called today it means that I passed the 3 hour one. I sent an electronic message so hopefully they'll write me back later today. I don't like to be left in suspense and although I can access many lab results online, for whatever reason glucose isn't one of the ones that they let patients see.
