Out with the Old

Over the last few weeks we've said goodbye to a few things such as her gym (she enjoyed it for 8 1/2 months), mobile (she enjoyed looking at it for 7 1/2 months), and her black patent shoes which don't fit any more (size 1). I looked at shoes yesterday, but I didn't know what size to get her. I was going to get her white patent shoes or white sandals since spring is ALMOST here. So she only wore her tights (no shoes) to church this morning.

I also said goodbye to a lot of my hair yesterday. It felt so weird when I shampooed this morning. It felt like there wasn't any hair back there, LOL! It's still a shock to me every time I look in a mirror. I am not sure yet what I think of it yet. I did get a lot of positive feedback at church though which helped. One lady in choir took one look at me and said, "I love it!" which really encouraged me.

Next on my to do list is to start packing for our trip Wednesday morning! I am looking forward to spending time with Wendy as well as her dh (Drayton), Adam (2) and Susie (almost 5). I'm sure I'll be painting Susie's fingernails, and we will probably go to the science museum where they have a family membership. I also look forward to hearing Susie read. She can read at the 4th grade reading level! If you want to see a recent clip of her sight reading a book at that level, click here; or if you want to see a clip of her reading an easier book with great expression (Bear Snores On), click here. I think Nadia will enjoy having her cousin read to her!
