Date Night!

Aside from the time spent together during the hospital stay in December, the last date Paul and I had was October 4 (a concert while his parents watched Nadia) and our last dinner date was August 11 (Watson Inn  while the neighbor girl watched Nadia). Paul's parents did suggest that we go out to eat when they were up at our house once last month, but getting a nap was a higher priority to me at that point. Although I still really appreciate a nap, I also am looking forward to a couple of hours of time spent just with Paul this evening in celebration of Valentine's Day. The neighbors are babysitting while we head to Red Lobster. The last time we went to Red Lobster was October 17 (with Nadia), and it's Paul's favorite place to go. Thankfully they always have at least one chicken entree on the menu for me.

I got an email yesterday from a professor in Taiwan. He started his email by saying, "Your research paper (and then he quoted the title of my most recent article) is very impressive and profound. In order to make more people aware of your research achievements, we sincerely invite you to submit a new research paper to" the journal he is the editor of. This article certainly has generated more international feedback than any other article I've had published! It almost inspired me to write another article this year, but I am sure that won't be happening. Writing articles isn't my priority right now; Ian and Nadia are!

Ian still has a cough, but he's not coughing as often. He slept much better yesterday. Today is his 6th day of being sick, but I think he's on the mend. Last night I got 7.5 hours of sleep. WOOHOO! He slept 6 hours in the Nap Nanny between 8:15pm and 5:40am and also spent 90 minutes in Paul's arms (10:15-11:45); he spent NO time in our bed last night!! Nadia woke up when Ian started crying at 5:40am.
