GAINED WEIGHT!

Nadia weighed 5lbs 12 1/4 oz at the doctor's office today. WOOHOO! This was 1.75 ounces more than she weighed on Wednesday and 1.25 more than she weighed when discharged from NICU on 7-1. We don't have to go back to the doctor for 2 weeks!! Today her SS# came in the mail, so I stopped at the HR dept at work after her appt to get her signed up for our health insurance. We definitely need her on our insurance as the statement we got in the mail yesterday for Nadia's medical bills totaled $51,096.48. YIKES!!!

The other good news of the day is that everything went well with the home inspection. All systems are go for the sale of our home! Our buyer even would like to buy our riding mower and snow blower which is an added bonus. We won't need either of these at our new property.

Love the Steelers blanket. We have a picture of Katelyn in the hospital just hours after her birth with a Terrible Towel. Joel was so proud!

So glad everything's gone well with the houses. What a blessing!

Yay Nadia!!

Holy hospital bill Batman!! I wonder if it cost the same in Canada...I've never seen a bill because of our health care...I think the U.S. should have the same thing!!

Yay for the house stuff!!! Can't wait to see pics of your new house!

Train up a child in the way she should go and she will be a lifelong Steelers fan. Go Nadia! Go Steelers!

great to hear that she has started gaining weight. It means you and her make a good team :-)

As for the medical bill, thank God for the insurance. We had to call an ambulance few months ago for Sofia and DH was reluctant because of the cost. I had to remind him that we have medical insurance and, even if we did not have it, we had to do what we had to do. One should never be put in the condition to choose between healthcare and cost... this is something that really bothers me in the US compared to Italy.

I love that photo of Nadia with the Steelers blanket.

I understand your worry about her weight. We adopted Sophie 15 months ago and she's now 26 months old and I still stress out about her weight. I'm learning that she will just always be petite. My mother keeps telling me: She will eat when she's hungry.

I'm sure Nadia will start gaining more and more weight with time. It sounds like she's doing great!
