First Picnic

Well yesterday Nadia was outside for an extended period of time for the first time, and she wore tights for the first time. There are SO many firsts for little ones! Nadia was held by her cousins Brandi and Holly as well as her Grandma and Pop Pop. The picnic had a luau theme as you can tell by the leis Pop Pop is wearing. I weighed her today, and with her diaper and pjs she weighed 11 lbs! She's a growing girl!!

Here are two funny comments from her Daddy at the picnic. #1 When Brandi (age 14) was carrying Nadia he said, "Please don't drop our daughter, she's the only one we have." #2 Everyone always comments on how cute she is - even strangers at the grocery store, etc. Paul said that he's concerned that all these comments are going to give her a big head, and she already has to work hard to hold her head up, LOL.
Last night Nadia had a 6 1/2 hour stretch. This was her first time ever to have two nights in a row with a 6 hour stretch. WOOHOO! We picked up a pack of diapers at the grocery store (I had a coupon for a free pack) yesterday and didn't have any leakage last night. Hopefully tonight will be the third night in a row of a 6 hour stretch or more!

Nadia wore a really pretty dress from eBay to church this morning. Unfortunately she didn't want to pose for photos today so I am just posting one of her in the car seat after we got home. She cried in the car all the way to church but thankfully slept through most of the service and on the way home. I really, really, really hope she sleeps a good portion of the 4 hours she's in the car tomorrow. Please say a prayer for tomorrow to go well!
To answer questions posed in the comments, #1 Nadia's eye is fine now. The blocked tear duct problem was very short lived thankfully and #2 she still has a VERY "outie" belly button. :-)
