I used to have a goal of having all my Christmas shopping done prior to Thanksgiving. I haven't accomplished that feat in a few years. Can you tell I'm not a Black Friday shopper? Twelve of our family members have birthdays between November 7 and February 21, and since we don't usually visit Maryland in January or February, I usually try to shop for those birthday gifts in addition to the Christmas gifts. Actually some years I've done the March birthdays at that time as well (two of those). There are 24 people on my list to buy Christmas gifts for. I had been purchasing gifts for Ian and Nadia along the way, but other than that hadn't made much progress up until the last few days. I have 14 gifts left to purchase, which means I'm finished with 22 of them.
I've continued to do some more Christmas decorating the past few days. The bottom part of the tree has been redecorated several times by Miss Nadia, lol. The kids love playing with the snow globes, but unfortunately one of them broke yesterday morning. We haven't decorated the outside of the house yet. We skipped that last year, but I want to do it this weekend in light of Ian's birthday party next week. We certainly have enough Christmas lights stored in our basement!
I've also been playing Christmas music all the time. I figure it's less than one month until Christmas so we'd better start listening to it now. I love Christmas music!
In addition to finishing the Christmas gift shopping, I need to do some wrapping of gifts and start working on our Christmas letter and cards. It's a busy time of year!
