I love pecan pie as well as apple crumb pie. I ate some pie every day the past four days. Today I'm going to give the last couple of slices to the neighbor when she comes over to babysit the kids. It's been very tasty, but I surely don't want to weigh myself today. I also need to figure out a way to add some exercise into my schedule now that we're not walking to the park. I miss that! My days of eating sweet potatoes aren't over quite yet. I still have some left overs of that. I think I made 4 lbs. There is also still some turkey for Paul to enjoy.
The vacation also has come to an end. It was nice having Paul home the last four days, and it was great that I had six days off. He went back to school this morning, and I'll be going back this evening. I only have ten more trips to make in 2010!
Nadia's days of sucking her thumb are also going to come to an end. I'm planning on buying two thumb guards. Anyone have a good recommendation? Also, I am wondering whether I should just tackle the daytime hours first or completely have her go cold turkey and wear them at night as well? I wish it could be as simple as it was for my nephew, Adam. My sister said something to him (he was about 3 1/2 years old I think at the time), and he immediately stopped without any reminders or incentives. Amazing.
Lastly, her days of sleeping in a crib are numbered. In January (after we get back from our cruise) I'm planning on transitioning her to a big girl bed. I'm also planning on putting a digital clock in her room and using it to teach her not to get up before 7am. My sister, Wendy, did that with Susie and Adam when they were each two years old. I've been planning to do the same with my children.
