In addition to patterning, another skill I've been working on with Nadia the past several days has been seriation. She hasn't totally mastered the skill. Usually one of the items in the middle is out of order, but when I tell her one is in the wrong spot, she can usually figure out on her own which one is wrong and correct it. We've been doing this in connection with Jan Brett's The Mitten and The Gingerbread Baby. I let her choose whether she'll order them from biggest to smallest or smallest to biggest.
This morning as I was making some baked potato soup for dinner tonight (I found the recipe on Pinterest a couple of months ago and we loved it so this is my second time making it), Nadia asked if I was making stone soup. LOL! That's another one of her favorite books. Even though I slept for 9 hours last night, I had a really hard time functioning this morning. All morning I kept thinking all I want to do is SLEEP. I had a granola bar as a snack, and that seemed to do the trick. This morning I was laughing at myself that I had any doubts I was pregnant. I wouldn't normally be this exhausted after sleeping for 9 hours! The first skirt I tried on this morning did not fit. Oh my goodness. Thankfully the second skirt did fit. I can't believe I'm popping out this early this time around. I am NOT saying I look pregnant yet, but I am outgrowing some of my clothes already. I don't think I'll need to move to maternity clothes in the near future, but I can see that my wardrobe is going to become more and more limited over the next several weeks. I'm trying to stay in non-maternity clothes as long as possible!
