Thankful Tuesday

1. Yesterday's warm temps (low 50's) were such an unexpected treat. Ian and I had fun at the playground while Nadia was in her ballet class.

2. Our new insurance cards came in the mail yesterday. This was a relief as I needed Paul to refill my Prometrium this week at PSU, which would have been hard to do without an insurance card. Also, the OB/GYN office questioned whether they really worked with our new insurance, but I called the insurance today and YES they do work with that office. Whew...
3. Nadia threw up ALL over herself, sheets, blanket, comforter, pillows, etc. last night around 8:30pm. No, I'm not thankful for that. What I am thankful is that although I helped some (such as washing the vomit out of her hair), Paul did the bulk of the work. Vomit always makes me feel a bit queasy, but it's ten times worse when I'm in my first trimester. What a blessing it was that he did the bulk of the cleanup. I washed her hair in the sink again this morning, but it still smelled. After lunch I gave the kids baths and finally her hair smells nice again.
4. It's a relief to not be feeding Ian solid foods for seven days. I'm also grateful that the hospital gave us one can of Elecare on Friday and that the 4 cans I ordered on eBay arrived yesterday. I'm also very thankful that I have an appointment tomorrow at WIC which should start the process of receiving it free in the mail for the next 6 months. What a blessing!

5. I'm grateful the Giants won the Superbowl because it makes shopping for Paul for Valentine's Day and Father's Day very easy!! One other thing made their victory exciting around here was that Hynoski (a rookie starter) is from our area. He grew up in the town where Knoebels is located, which means he was in the same school district that we lived in from 2004-2008. That high school football team has won many state championships in recent years despite its small size (the district has about 1,500 students from grades K-12).
6. On this day 15 years ago, I met Paul at a ballroom dancing class at Boscov's (a department store). He's been a wonderful hubby these past 10.5 years and a wonderful father for 3.75 years. I look forward to spending many more years together as a family of 5 (and possibly 6 if the FET results in a pregnancy).
