1. Although I haven't typed up a plan for an entire month at a time yet, I have been typing up a meal plan for dinners for 1-2 weeks at a time, and I recently started trying some new recipes again. I definitely have been working on getting Nadia and Ian to eat a wider variety of foods. The "without a fuss and in a reasonable amount of time" part of my goal is going to take a lot longer to accomplish.2. Oliver is gaining weight at a good pace, and I think he could hit 10 pounds by the end of 2012. As for avoiding formula, I ditched that goal. As for weaning him off the nipple shield, I'm working on that with him now and hopefully that will be accomplished within the next few weeks.
3. Ian is night time potty trained. That goal can be crossed off the list! He has now woken up dry 10 mornings in a row.
4. I haven't weighed myself in a couple of weeks. The last time I weighed myself I had lost 7 pounds since I first started trying to lose weight. I doubt I'll achieve the goal of "losing at least 15 pounds" by the end of December, but at least I am going in the right direction.
5. As for Oliver's sleeping habits, he seems to be going in the right direction at night although he's been all over the map the past two weeks. Last night he slept for 3 hours, was up for 1 hour, slept for 3 more hours, was up for 75 minutes, and then slept 2 more hours. His day started at 6:05am. That wasn't a great night by any stretch of the imagination. I'm hopeful though that by the end of December he'll be doing well at night. I have regressed in terms of putting him down awake. Lately I've been rocking or nursing him to sleep most of the time. Although there are days he doesn't nap well (such as today), most of the time I am very pleased with how well he naps. He takes 1-2 naps a day. Yesterday he only took one nap, and it was 2.5 hours long (from 12:00-2:30).6 & 7 - I've definitely been working on these with Nadia and Ian, but these will take many months (years?) to accomplish. Ian started gymanstics in October.
8. I have been helping Paul with his job search. I check higheredjobs.com multiple times a day. I have uploaded some of his applications for him, printed some, etc. I will keep doing so until he gets a job. He's submitted 9 applications thus far (3 that start in January and 6 that start next fall) and plans to submit 4 more this week (all for next fall).
9. Nadia has learned to write her name. She can write 15 letters of the alphabet now (uppercase). She can count to 40. I started reading a chapter book to her and then got a sore throat and took a break. I need to get back to that. I haven't been working on her cutting skills. I need to start on that ASAP.
10 & 11 - Oliver did have his first Synagis injection. Thankfully he has been healthy thus far. I need to give him more tummy time.
12 - 14 are all areas that need far more attention. I have been taking more pictures lately, although I've reverted to shooting in auto mode.
Paul achieved two goals this week. Yesterday he submitted an article to the journal Analytical Chemistry. Today he submitted the rought draft of his entire dissertation to his advisor. The original deadline was 10/31, but his defense was rescheduled to the middle of January. Last night he came home around 6pm. He slept from 8:30pm to midnight and then drove back to school to finish writing the abstract and write the conclusion (chapter 6). Hopefully his advisor will be pleased with his rough draft. She had already seen all but the conclusion and abstract. This afternoon he turned his attention back to writing cover letters and submitting job applications.
P.S. I finally got around to scanning and posting one of Nadia's first stick figures and her first attempts at writing her name (from last week). Yesterday she surprised Paul with a card on which she had written the words "Nadia" and "Dad" all by herself. She wanted to write Nadia loves Daddy, but she hasn't learned "v" or "Y" yet. I drew a heart in between the two words to convey the sentiment.

Great job Nadia, she is printing very well. I need to plan meals better too, its a constant battle with picky eaters, I feel like we rotate the same meals each week. Ugh, my favorites are no longer favorites!
