Not to be outdone by their sister (who learned to write her name yesterday), Ian woke up dry again this morning and Oliver slept 15 minutes shy of 10 hours straight last night. Ian has now woken up dry seven mornings in a row. WOOHOO! I have to admit I was tempted to throw in the towel after having very messy poop accidents to clean up, but I'm very glad I didn't. He's been wearing underwear 24 hours a day for 21 days now. Now if we could just get him to sleep until 7am. This morning he didn't use the bathroom until he had been up for a few hours so that wasn't the reason he got up at 6:00am. He had been getting up between 7-8am before the time changed.
Oliver napped from 12-3 yesterday, and when he fell asleep at 6:45pm I thought he was going to take a brief second nap. Nope. I gave very serious thought to waking him up to feed him one more time because it seemed too early to go to bed for the night, but I have the hardest time waking a sleeping baby. I am glad I didn't because he slept until 4:30am! I went to bed at 8:45pm, and even though I went down 2 hours after Oliver did, I still got almost 8 hours of sleep - for the first time in 5 months. He nursed for 50 minutes and then went back to sleep (which is much faster than usual). He only slept 45 minutes. He started his day earlier than usual (6:05am), but considering his early bedtime, that was to be expected. This meant he went down for his first nap earlier (9:30am). I left him at home with Paul and took the kids to the mall to pick up the pictures from Sears, drop off my bracelet to be repaired again (thank goodness we paid for the warranty!), and used 3 coupons at Hallmark to buy some cards and wrapping paper. We made it back before Oliver woke up. It thrills me that Oliver slept 10 hours straight two of the past six nights!!!
