No shots today!

I started the daily injections for this FET on September 28 so that means I had at least one shot a day for two months (total of 103 shots). It felt so weird not to have an injection this morning, LOL! I would appreciate prayer about the progesterone level though. I need to trust the RE knows what he is doing, but I admit I would be less nervous if I was still on the PIO injections. The suppositories contain the same amount of progesterone (50mg); so I guess I shouldn't be nervous. Just means I am praying for baby even more today!!!

Now that we are not going to pay for another ivf/fet, we are planning on going on a vacation in early January!!! The first 5 years we were married, we went on 1-2 vacations a year (all happened to be outside of the USA). We didn't go on any this year due to the cost of IVF and adoption. Of course a vacation costs FAR, FAR less than a round of IVF, but it's just that was one thing we had to cut out to be able to afford it. So, it's very exciting to start to make plans for a vacation as we are in withdrawal as our last one was in the summer of 2006 to Aruba. Even Paul had been saying the last few months that we need to get back to the beach. :-)

Have you decided where you want to go? I have never traveled out of the USA but my sister and I are planning a trip in 09 to Italy. Have you ever been to the Grand Canyon? Not sure how it would be in Jan. We went in Nov last year and it was awesome. Not very crowded. Perfect weather for us, we live in Michigan. Any how...have fun planning. Planning the trip is 1/2 the fun!

We want to go to the Caribbean. I have been to the Grand Canyon with my parents when I was younger. That is quite an amazing sight to see! I definitely agree that planning is 1/2 the fun! Paul would probably say planning for me is more than half the fun, LOL! He did tell the social worker though in one of our home study visits that was one quality he admired in me (how well I plan vacations). LOL! Anyhow I think you and your sister will love Italy in 09! Paul and I went to Italy and loved it. Paul was in 7th heaven to eat pizza almost every day. Here's where we've been so far: St. Lucia (2001), England/France (2002), Mexico (2002), Italy (2003), Spain (2004), St. Maarten/St. Kitts/Nevis/Anguilla (2005), Aruba (2006), and China (2006) which was mostly a mission's trip and also a little bit of a vacation. So you can see we are in withdrawal that we haven't been on a vacation for almost 18 months! We had paid for a week in Mexico this July but didn't end up going as instead I taught an additional class to make more $$ to pay for ivf. Anyhow if we were going in a warmer time of year we might go back to England as we want to go back there some day. But since we're planning a winter trip (we only did one other winter trip and that was Mexico in late Nov/ early Dec), we are going to go south. We've never been on a cruise so that's the direction I'm leaning. At first we were thinking of going to Puerto Rico but the resort we were going to go to had AWFUL reviews so we're not going there. I have a time share so it usually costs about $150-300 for seven nights at a resort. I am good at planning CHEAP trips. Our trip to Aruba was about $1K for the two of us for a week for example. The best deal I ever got was for Mexico. It was at an all-inclusive resort. We never ate so well in our lives and it was about $1K including airfare and everything for I think it was 10 days or something like that.
