Last night Nadia went to bed at 6pm which is earlier than we usually like her to go down. So I was expecting her to want to get up for the day around 6am. Well I nursed her around 1:30am. She had a hard time going back to sleep (ie cried a lot) but then she slept until 7:15am. WOW! So she was in bed for 13 hours and slept well over 12 hours! I plan on weaning her off the one remaining night time feeding sometime in the next 3 weeks.
As for pumping, yesterday I drank about 112 ounces of water, and I have already had more than 100 ounces today, and I am not done yet. I pumped 5 times yesterday and didn't get much milk. I can see why Nadia doesn't nurse very well lately. I have only pumped 3 times so far today (will get one more in before I go to bed), and I already have pumped more than I did yesterday so things are going in the right direction, but I have a long way to go before I get anywhere near what she needs in a day. I am going to keep up this drinking a lot of water and pumping 4-5 times a day routine until January 4. I will then reassess the situation on January 5th. I am hoping my milk supply will be a lot closer to what she needs in a day by then. Does that seem possible?
Paul watched Nadia roll over 4 times yesterday (two times each direction), and Paul's mom saw her roll from her back to her belly today. So now I am not the only person to have witnessed this feat, LOL.
