Bible Study

Through an email from a friend of mine this past weekend, I learned that the women at the church I was a member of from 2004-2008 are doing a study on Revelation by my favorite Bible study author, Beth Moore. I have really missed being a part of a ladies Bible study group. I attended a couple of times after we moved to our current home (fall 2008), but that was the last time that I attended a ladies small group Bible study. The church where I have been going for the past year did have one last semester, but it was on a night when I was teaching. Ironically, I also found out this past weekend that my church will be starting a ladies Bible study (by Max Lucado) on Thursday nights starting February 11. I missed the first week of the Revelation study, but even if I had known about it, I wouldn't have been able to make it last week since I was in the hospital on Tuesday morning. Since Nadia no longer takes a morning nap, I have decided to go to the Revelation study at least for the next 3 Tuesdays starting today. I am not sure if I'll continue once I go back to school since I teach on Tuesday nights. I have also decided to give the 3:16 study a try starting Feb. 11. I plan to take Ian with me to both studies, put Nadia in the nursery during the Tuesday morning study, and leave Nadia at home with Paul for the Thursday night study since I'll leave for that one 15 minutes before her bedtime.

The only glitch with the Thursday night study is that I've been going to bed earlier than I'll be able to if I attend that study as I would be getting home at about 8:45pm. The nap nanny is supposed to arrive by FedEx on Saturday (wish it was coming sooner!), and hopefully Ian will start sleeping in his crib. If that works, then I think I can stay up until 8:45 on Thursday nights. I'll be staying up that late on Mondays and Tuesdays due to teaching those nights. Maybe I'll shift back towards a 9pm bedtime. We shall see. I have been sleeping better the last few nights (last night being the exception), not that Ian has been sleeping in his crib very much. Some nights he's in it less than 15 minutes the whole night, and the most time he ever spends there is 2 hours total. I put him on his belly twice to see if that would work as I figured that sleeping on his belly is less risky than co-sleeping. He'll sleep on his belly if he's on someone's chest, but he won't sleep on his belly in his crib. It concerns me that I am sleeping better because I don't want to sleep too soundly with Ian in bed with us.

Did you decide not to get the nap nanny? I am thankful it is working for us but now we will need another one. I don't know how you get any sleep with him on your chest. I hope you find something that works.
