Backyard

Beth will be watching the kids this afternoon for about 3 hours. She got mixed up and came over yesterday afternoon. We were outside so I didn't hear her knock, but then she called me on the phone. I invited her to join us in the backyard. It was nice to chat with her for an hour while Michael and Nadia played on the swing and slide and Ian slept in my arms. Michael will be turning 2 years old on my birthday. When they were both swinging Nadia would wave and say "Hi, Michael." She says his name very clearly. Yesterday morning when I went into her room to get her, she greeted me with "Good Morning."

Ian again had a good day yesterday with naps. He took two naps in the Nap Nanny that were each almost one hour long. His third nap was outside in my arms. Last night he slept almost 5 hours and then 2 hours and then 1 hour. His day began at 5:30am. Unfortunately Nadia had another short nap (90 minutes) yesterday, and she woke up in a very, very fussy mood. Going outside definitely helped lift her spirits. This morning she woke up at about 6:40. Ian has already had one (one hour) nap in his Nap Nanny this morning. It's a lot cooler today so instead of going outside we're going to visit storytime at the library. We haven't tried that in awhile. We shall see if Nadia is old enough for it yet or not.
