Paul, who is 42 years old, did something today that he's never done before. He made homemade cookies. Kind folks from church have been bringing us a dessert with our dinner, but three of the four nights they brought something chocolate (ex. brownies). The other night it was vanilla wafers with frosting. I have been craving something sweet, but chocolate gives me horrible heartburn when I'm pregnant. I asked him if he would make cookies with Nadia, and he graciously agreed. They made some absolutely delicious oatmeal butterscotch cookies. It was so funny listening to his commentary as I gave him step by step directions from the couch. At one point he was comparing the batter to concrete, ha ha! The poor guy has been so busy doing things I usually do: laundry, grocery shopping, mowing, the dishes, giving the kids a bath, putting them to bed, etc. I asked him to pick me up some ice cream at the grocery store as I keep craving some. He got me the most delicious flavor called Southern Lemon Pie. YUMMY! I told the woman from church yesterday that we didn't need any food delivered this weekend because we have plenty of leftovers. I am so grateful for their help. At least Paul hasn't had to do any cooking (aside from the cookies). We started trying to have children in May 2002. After pursuing fertility treatments, domestic, and international adoption, our daughter Nadia Renee was born on 6-24-08 (at 36w4d). IVF #2 resulted in Ian Alexander, who was born on 12-12-09 (at 34w3d). Oliver Elliot (IVF #3) was born on 8-7-12 (at 31w6d)! Three other pregnancies (in 2005, 2007, and 2013) ended in miscarriage. Our family is complete! We are so thankful for our three miracles!

It would take a small miracle for Josh to make anything other than brownies from a mix on his own! Great job, Paul! He's taking good care of you.
P.S. I LOVE Nadia's hair! I'm a sucker for short haircuts on little girls. :)
